When the Venomous Raptor Sandboard first entered the sandboarding competition scene in 2000, it quickly established itself as a top performer on the dunes amongst the best sanboarders out there.
Today with refinements in design and materials this board has re-established itself and continues to be the best selling sandboard in the world.
The Venomous Raptor board boasts a rocker front half with a flat back half which allows the board to perform but remain stable at higher speeds. This unique design also makes the Raptor the perfect beginner sandboard as it is easy to ride, not requiring as much balance or skill.
If you're looking for a sandboard that the whole family can ride, yet can run the competition slopes too, the Raptor is an excellent choice. You're going to love this board!
The Venomous Raptor Sandboard comes with 2 blocks of sandboard wax. 1 is for wet sand and the other is for dry sand.

Waxing your sandboard
The sandboard wax is specially formulated to improve the glide of the board on the widest variety of sand dune conditions and types.
The green wax is for dry sand, and the orange is for damp. If the sand is very wet, (saturated), don't use any wax at all.
Rub a light coat of the wax over the bottom of the board. Don't cake it on. Also run it down the edge, so the turns will glide nicely. Don't worry about the tips, as they don’t really touch the sand.
Then buff it in on the sand by moving the board around, and back and forth to polish it out. Most riders do this whilst the sandboard is on their feet, so it looks like they are dancing, but if you prefer, you can do it by hand too. If you do buff it out you will feel it get very slippery... ride it!
Waxing the base should only take about 10 seconds. It's not a big effort and you may get 2-3 runs out of each waxing. It really depends on the type of sand, weight of the rider and the length of the run.
