Using a leash means that if you get wiped out, and let go of your bodyboard, the board is still attached to you and won’t get swept away.

Coil leashes are mostly preferred to straight leashes, as they tend not to get tangled around the rider, when using their board.

The 42” Wave Pro and Surfster Blade Pro bodyboards both come with a straight leash. This coil leash is a great upgrade.

The leash has a plug which is required for most standard, “hard”, bodyboards such as the Wave Pro. However, if you remove this plug, you can then attach this leash to the handle of any of the Surfster inflatable boards.
