Omer Mei-Dan

Omer Mei-dan first came to our attention in 2005, in a documentary series called "Cheating Death" on the Adventure One Channel. It was covering the story of an accident Omer had had whilst BASE jumping in South Africa. The documentary followed his life before the accident, including his acheivements in the world of extreme sports. Not only did Omer take part in events, but he also organised an amazing event bringing several different extreme sports together in one big event. The programme finished with Omer taking his first BASE jump since the accident. After watching this amazing documentary, I contact Omer and asked if he minded us adding him to our wall of fame, that is "Legends". He very kindly agreed to this and has allowed us to borrow some bits from his website - www.extremesports.co.il Picture courtesy of Omer Mei-dan Omer Mei-dan, has been taking an important part in varried extreme sports activities, from mountaineering and surfing to base jumping, kayaking, snowboarding and free-diving. In the past ten years he has performed complex stunts as well as inventing new stunt combinations and trying them out. As well as taking part himself, Omer also runs his own business - Omer Mei-dan Extreme Sports Productions Ltd. They specialize in finding the most suitable and original ideas for various events, such as promotional activities, advertising campaigns, private happenings etc. Some of these activities got extensive media coverage and have been mentioned in the Guinness Book of World Records.
